      The Group is a wholly owned company of A. Ahlstrom Corporation, a privately owned global paper and engineering company in Finland with net sales of EUR 1,112 million in 1999. Administrative headquarters are near Amsterdam in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.

25 specialized product lines
- from natural and man-made fibers we manufacture calendered papers, vegetable parchment, supercalendered and clay-coated base, high-performance coreboard, wallpaper base, furniture foils, glassfibre reinforcements, wet-laid nonwovens and filtration media. Our products are used in dozens of industries and applications ranging from abrasives, bar coding and boat hulls to food packaging and disposable tablecloths and napkins.
Extensive research facilities - to maximize our potential for the benefit of our customers, our product line development and technical service is enhanced by a central Research and Competence Center based in France. The center's long-term vision is supported by specialists who focus their expertise on applied research, the exploring of new concepts, technology monitoring and database enhancement. In order to best serve customers worldwide, the center conducts research for each of our specific product lines while acting as a hub for global knowledge sharing in areas such as process technology, IT, wet end chemistry.
